Let's meet together, I am telling you more about Patricia Creative Cakes...
Are you celebrating something?
My name is Patricia Lafargue. I don't need to use the word "French" in my business name for one good reason: I am a real French national and all Belgians know it immediately when they hear me speaking! Unlike others, no need for me to pretend to be French because I really am! I come from the Aquitaine region, a few kilometers from Bordeaux, and I live in Brussels since 2016.
I always do my very best to deliver amazing and original cakes in Brussels for all occasions. Each cake is an artistic creation that will make your celebration beautiful and unforgettable. Truly, I am specialist in sugarpaste cakes but I also do naked cakes and many others. I like to make as well cupcakes, cookies, homemade macarons, popcakes and french patisserie. I love to create unique treats for your private or corporate celebrations.
Patricia Creative Cakes is a small woman-owned business. We are not a pastry shop so please don't call me if you need a cake for today or tomorrow! I am not making anything industrial and I bake everything on special request using the best ingredients and my own hands. I design cakes for all types of events including weddings, birthdays, christenings, communions, Halloween, graduation, hen parties, baby showers, Mother’s Day, Christmas, Easter, corporate events including the launch of new product or the opening of a new shop...
I created this site to share my passion with you.

My background and my work approach
I left France in 1998 and I moved to London to learn English. Expatriate for more than twenty years now, I have been living fourteen years in the UK, five years in Spain (where I opened my first pastry school) before starting to experience a new way of life in Brussels.
I started cake decorating as a hobby in 2012, and my purpose was simply to make my family and friends happy. First, I discovered the cupcakes world and the sugarpaste modeling during my first cupcake workshop at Posh & Swanky in Halifax. I really enjoyed it so I decided to start a new career!
After graduating from David Cakes Masterclasses, Slattery, Olivier Bajard International School Pastry and many other places, I launched my own cake business in Sitges (Catalonia). It was such a great success and, for more than 4 years, I baked a lot of amazing cakes (many of them are displayed on this website). I also organized hundreds of workshops to teach to many kids and adults how to make beautiful cakes. I loved to see my clients so happy. After 4 years of hard work, and having built a reputable name in Catalonia, I sold my Spanish business to Berta's Fantasy Cakes. At that time, I was feeling very exhausted and I really wanted to change the way I was working.
I moved to Belgium in September 2016 to develop a new business project and experience a different way to work.
When I arrived in Brussels, I was proposed to become the store manager of the Le Creuset store and I decided to accept this exciting challenge. But my passion for cake design did not disappear and I decided to setup a new cake business here in Brussels as a second activity. In February 2017, I obtained a pastry and baking certificate from the Belgian authorities allowing me to make and sell my cakes in Belgium. Very quickly, I did not resist to launch a new business and, mid June 2017, I finally started my activity of cake design in Brussels. Quite immediately, many individuals, charities, small and big firms like Hard Rock Café, Voxbone, Easyfairs, TakeAway.com, Gezinsbond, Brussels Parliament, SAP, Salesforce, ScanSource and many others started to count on me for their celebration cakes.
My Facebook page is followed by more than 31.000 persons and it is great to be able to share all my work with so many people... I also share a lot of my cakes on Pinterest, Flickr and Instagram.
Since April 2020, with my husband and two chocolate experts, I launched a brand new store named The Belgian Chocolate Makers ®. We are producing and selling our own chocolate production. No industrial chocolate, only handmade chocolate! Making amazing cakes stay my secondary activity.
Kind regards,

I deal with a lot of high profile clients.
Many firms count on me for their corporate events.
Important things I wish to share with you
Please note that we are not a pastry shop! Too many visitors still think that they can pop up to our place and buy ready-made cakes... That's just not the way it works! I design personalized and custom-made cakes on special order for all your private and corporate events. All my cakes are personalized so cakes must be ordered a minimum of 5 days in advance. Don't call me if you need a cake for today or tomorrow!
There is no need to visit our office to order a cake. Everything can be done online (even from overseas) using email, chat or even WhatsApp. Payments are securely processed online if you have a Bancontact, Visa, Mastercard or Maestro card. On special request we may accept payments by Paypal, Revolut or Skrill. We also accept bank transfers into our ING corporate account. No cash payment is accepted. I am not confirming any order until full payment is received (no exception even for government or European agencies).
We can meet together for large events or weddings but it will be organized by appointment only at the The Belgian Chocolate Makers store.
I am not accepting orders placed at the last minute so you will need to contact me a minimum of five working days before your event. The sooner you can order your cake, the better it is. Some months are particularly busy and clearly January is one of the busiest months! So make sure you book your cake as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Pick up of your cake can be arranged at our store located 11 Rue Lebeau 1000 Brussels (between Grand'Place et Sablon) from Monday to Sunday, 11h-17h. Deliveries can be arranged all days including week ends and bank holidays.
Finally, let's be clear about the prices. I am offering discounts for cakes serving 20 or more. No need to ask me for discounted prices for smaller cakes, you will be disappointed. No need also to tell me that you can find cheaper prices elsewhere. Of course, you can. But please ask yourself the right questions: Will you get the same cake? What ingredients will be put in the composition of the pastry? How many hours will they work on your cake? Will you deal with a reputable registered company or someone working illegally from his/her home? Is the cake designer licensed to sell cakes or not? Is the workshop authorized by AFSCA? Can the cake designer make an invoice? Can you contact the cake designer anytime? Will you be sure to be delivered on time? Etc... Once you have answered all these questions then I am sure that you will understand that a custom-made cake baked and designed especially for you cannot be priced like an industrial cake... I am an artisan and I am rather proud of being a woman-owned business. I deal with high profile clients most of the time and I am a professional cake designer. Please consider my work and dedication and do not ask me to make cheaper prices, you would certainly upset me.
